Age Limit Age on October 2023

  • For the Junior Research Fellow position, candidates must be below 31 years old as of the first day of the month in which the 2023 examination concludes.
  • There is a relaxation of 5 years on the upper age limit for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, women, and PwD

Education Qualification

  • To be eligible for the UGC NET exam, candidates must hold a Master’s degree or its equivalent from a university recognized by the UGC, with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for ST/SC/OBC/PwD) in the relevant field.
  • Additionally, candidates in the final year of their qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

UGC NET December 2023 Exam Pattern

  • The exam will be conducted in online mode i.e. Computer Based Test.
  • The exam paper will consist of two papers.
  • Exam will be conducted in two shifts
