UGC NET December 2023 Apply Online: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently announced the details for the December 2023 UGC NET exam. As per the notification, eligible candidates can apply for the examination on the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in, until October 28th (5 pm). The deadline for fee payment is set for October 29th, allowing payments until 11:50 pm. Age Limit Age on October 2023
- For the Junior Research Fellow position, candidates must be below 31 years old as of the first day of the month in which the 2023 examination concludes.
- There is a relaxation of 5 years on the upper age limit for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, women, and PwD
Education Qualification
- To be eligible for the UGC NET exam, candidates must hold a Master’s degree or its equivalent from a university recognized by the UGC, with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for ST/SC/OBC/PwD) in the relevant field.
- Additionally, candidates in the final year of their qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

UGC NET December 2023 Exam Pattern
- The exam will be conducted in online mode i.e. Computer Based Test.
- The exam paper will consist of two papers.
- Exam will be conducted in two shifts

- The medium of the exam will be either Hindi or English depending on the candidate’s choice.
- There is no provision for negative marking.

- Timing of Examination First Shift: 09.00 am to 12.00 pm / Second Shift: 03.00 pm to 06.00 pm
